Duncan Palmer

Duncan Palmer is AVP, Data Governance at Co-operators, where he leads the Enterprise Data Governance function and co-leads the organization's Responsible AI workstream. He is responsible for establishing the governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating models that enable the safe, ethical, and compliant adoption of AI across the enterprise. At Co-operators, Duncan is helping shape the organization's AI governance strategy, including AI lifecycle management, risk management, governance tooling, and regulatory readiness. With more than 30 years of experience in data governance, analytics, business intelligence, and digital transformation, he is passionate about helping organizations balance innovation with trust, accountability, and responsible use of data and AI.
